Judgement Day

By Jeremiah Boyce
Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

Indianapolis, Indiana – Penn State finally was forced to pay the price for Mr Sandusky’s actions. The Nittany Lions were given the closest thing in sports to the death penalty. Penn State is not allowed to play in any postseason competition for four years. They have to pay a $60 million fine and any Penn State player can transfer immediately. All Penn State wins were vacated from 1998-2011, which means the biggest liar of them all, Joe Paterno, is no longer number 1 in NCAA career wins and is now number 8. Penn State is also not allowed to participate in the Big 10 conference for four years. My opinion is that the Nittany Lions were given a smack down and it wasn’t just a slap on the wrist. It was a total gutting. I think it can only help college football because it will send a signal to the rest of college football that the NCAA is watching them.
